If your iPhone dies before lunch, shuts off at 30%, or can’t make it through the day, the battery is probably worn out. A new battery usually brings back all-day life, and it costs much less than a new phone.
Miami heat is hard on phone batteries. Lithium-ion batteries wear out faster when they get hot, and a phone in a hot car, at the beach, or running navigation on the dashboard heats up fast. That’s why many Miami iPhone owners need a new battery sooner than people in cooler cities.
To check your battery, go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health (on some newer models it’s Battery Health & Charging). If Maximum Capacity is below 80%, or your iPhone shows a “Service” message, it’s a good time to replace the battery.
You have two main choices. You can go to Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider, or you can use an independent local repair shop. This page lists 77 repair shops in Miami, including iRepair Miami, QuikFix Apple Repair, iNerds, Techy Wynwood, Cell Fix and FixStub. Many offer same-day battery swaps.

| AppleCare+ | No charge if capacity is below 80% | Not covered by AppleCare+ |
Apple’s US out-of-warranty battery prices (before tax): $129 for iPhone 18 Pro / Pro Max · $119 for iPhone 16 Pro, 17 Pro (and Pro Max) and iPhone Air · $99 for iPhone 14, 15 and 16 (all versions), iPhone 16e, 17 and 17e · $89 for iPhone X/XR/XS through iPhone 13 · $69 for iPhone 8 / 8 Plus and earlier. Free with AppleCare+ when capacity is below 80%. Apple inspects the phone before confirming the price, and Authorized Service Providers can set their own fees. Source: Apple Support
How to choose a shop
- Ask whether the battery is genuine Apple or aftermarket, and what the price is for your exact model.
- Ask how long the warranty on the battery and the work lasts.
- Check how long it takes. Many shops can swap a battery while you wait.
- Look at recent Google reviews that mention battery jobs.
- Back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer first.
- After the swap, a non-Apple battery may show an “Unknown Part” message in Settings. That’s normal, but you should know about it before you choose.
- Ask if they’ll recycle your old battery safely.
Miami iPhone battery FAQs
How much does an iPhone battery replacement cost in Miami?
At Apple, out-of-warranty battery service is $69 to $129 before tax, depending on your model. It's free with AppleCare+ if your battery is below 80% capacity. Independent Miami shops set their own prices, which are often less than Apple's, so call for a quote for your model.
How long does it take?
Many shops do a battery swap while you wait, often the same day. At Apple, timing depends on appointments and parts. Mail-in service takes longer.
Does Miami heat really wear out my battery faster?
Yes. Heat speeds up lithium-ion battery aging. Keep your phone out of hot cars and direct sun, and don't charge it while it's hot.
When should I replace my iPhone battery?
When Maximum Capacity in Settings drops below 80%, your phone shows a "Service" message, or it shuts down without warning or drains very fast.
Will a local shop void my warranty?
Damage caused by an independent repair isn't covered by Apple. If your iPhone is still under warranty or has AppleCare+, check with Apple first, since battery service may be free.
