Since it was an iPhone 13 Pro, he told me to take it to the Apple Store to have it replaced since he would have to order manufacturer parts at the same price they would charge me, and it would actually have taken a couple of days to receive. He was spot on – the screen needed to be replaced, and while the repair was expensive – the Apple Store also said there are no after market screens yet for this model and that any repair store would have to buy the mfg parts.
