It’s quite large, a 17.3 screen, and I had it secured in one position using masking tape. Yup…it was a pretty pathetic situation. I looked around to see how to get it fixed. I stopped in at Laptop MD and after examining it they gave me a price. It was much higher than I expected, so I thought to shop around. I tried Best Buy’s ‘Geek Squad’, and the only thing they could do was give me the hard sell to get me to buy a new laptop (even though mine wasn’t very old). I was emphatically told that it was beyond repair. Forget it, sayonara, hold a wake, because it’s finished. ‘But let me show you some of the latest models.’ Yeah, ok. I tried another place on 23rd…name slips my mind. They said they could do it, but it would take awhile. Their price was a few bucks less than Laptop MD. I went back to Laptop MD because I felt more confident in their ability. For them, it was no big deal; just a simple repair. It was pretty funny because pieces of plastic was coming off when the guy was initially looking at it, but he remained unfazed. The job took only a few days, and boom, it was done! My laptop was like brand new. In closing, I’m definitely going to bring a few other devices that need fixing. I genuinely believe these guys can do just about anything. I like the way they handled themselves, and they know what they’re doing. One downside was that I had quite a few tabs open when I brought it in, but upon return it seemed like some sort of reconfiguration took place, and I lost all those tabs; which somehow didn’t appear in the history. Not sure how that happened. In any event, if you’ve got any kind of computer issue, give these guys a call, as I’m confident they’ll be able to fix it. Hope this review helps.
