I purchased a rather expensive laptop and later damaged it physically over a year later. I priced the parts myself and they were half the value of the initial purchase. I then got an email from Best Buy, randomly reminding me of my plan I had purchased (I had totally forgotten). The repair with Geek Squad was completed within a week. The drop-off process was quick and simple. The staff was instructional, pleasant, and worked with diligence. Once dropped off, I was updated via email quite often throughout the week. After a week’s time, I received an automated voicemail and email notification stating the item was finished and available for pick-up at my local store. I hopped online, scheduled an appointment as instructed, and was able to pick-up my repaired laptop within the hour. I thought this investment was a total loss and now have a fully functioning laptop (with repairs BEYOND what I had broken, they replaced my keyboard with a new one also). I generally never purchase the ‘warranty plans’ at stores but I am grateful I did this go around and that BestBuy/GeekSquad not only held up their end to the deal, they did it efficiently. I will most certainly be back to purchase more items and will continue to purchase the Geek Squad protection plan on any higher valued items as I am certain it’s a worthy investment.
