I want to upgrade to a smartphone. I'm looking for speed, durability, and good battery life. I hate apple products so if you suggest the iphone I'll just delete your answer.

I would either choose the Samsung Galaxy a 2, as it is probably apples main competitor on the phone market, or I would buy on of the latest HTC models as they are decent enough phones and are quite powerful
