Ive tried to reset it but it wont stay on long enough to let me do it.Ive tried connecting it to a wall charger and to the computer but its like it doesnt get enough power to charge it. yet enough to keep it slightly enough to come up with the low battery and lightning bolt icon.

It means that you need to charge your phone. Wait for about 5 minutes and then see what has happened. It should makea noise when it is back on. In fact, i have to charge my iphone 3gs now
