I woke up this morning and my screen was looking funny, after scrolling across I realised that the apps/icons that are on my first page are burnt into the screen. I downloaded the 'Burn-In Remover' app, and I'm trying that right now, but I was wondering what can cause this and if the app doesn't work, how would I fix it? I bought a new battery for my phone last week. (It was previously wet, but after a new battery has worked fine, other than the front camera not working.) Could it be the new battery? Or the phone itsself.

This is pretty interesting. I've never really of an iPhone (well LCD screens on phones) getting screen burn-ins before. I've only seen this issue with AMOLED panels (quite common).
I don't think the battery can cause such a thing. If anything, it is the phone causing that. I doubt that it is really a burn in cause this only happens when you keep an image (in your case, your homescreen) on and not change it for a long period of time (without the screen going off). Unless you've done that, this just doesn't really make sense.
